I got mine at Wally World for 10$ .... I cook for between 8-10 people a night and use onions frequently. My chopper has held up well. I don't put it in the dishwasher and I apply enough pressure to make it start chopping but sort of let it do its own thing... I can see where if you pushed hard to make it go faster than maybe it should that it would break. That however is true with any product.
