I would be unable to cook rice without this inexpensive little gadget for the microwave. I also routinely cook vegetables and potatoes in it, which get cooked within a few short minutes and with the addition of only a spoonful of water or so. I am very happy with this purchase which also includes measuring spoons and cups.

Microwavable rice and pasta cooker includes a pasta draining insert, steaming insert, pasta measurer, measuring cups, measuring spoons, rice paddle and a locking lid. 12 cup capacity.This versatile multi-cooker from Progressive is great for preparing rice, pasta, and vegetables. The specially designed lid keeps steam circulating, while clamps on the base keep it tightly in place. Rice comes out fluffy and doesn't stick to the bottom of the cooker. The set includes a basket for draining pasta, a pasta measurer, a rack for steaming vegetables, a rice paddle, measuring cups, and measuring spoons. All of the parts fit inside the 12-cup base for compact storage. Cleanup is easy--pop the parts in the top rack of your dishwasher. --Dale Steinke
