Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Progressive International Clearly Fresh Bread Keeper

Customer Review: really wonderful container for homemade bread!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this mainly because of the slicer since I make homemade bread and cannot in any way slice it evenly.
I am very happy with this purchase. NOt only can I slice my bread perfectly for sandwiches, but I have a pretty, clear container to hold the bread. It keeps my bread fresh for a long time.
I bought a couple more for my friends who make bread at home too and they absolutely love it!

Customer Review: A wonderful replacement for Wanda's Breadbox
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great breadbox which keeps bread from drying out. I bought it to replace my Wanda's Breadbox, which had broken from years of use. The great thing about this breadbox is it comes with a slicing guide which Wanda's didn't have.

Customer Review: Fresh as a Daisy
Summary: 5 Stars

No more need to refrigerate bread to keep it from getting moldy. This bread keeper works beautifully! I've kept loaves of bread for a week. Highly recommend it.

Customer Review: eh, it's ok
Summary: 3 Stars

It keeps the bread well, but the plastic is shredding on the bottom where you use the guides. Really won't last long if you are a frequent bread maker.

Customer Review: Does the job fine
Summary: 4 Stars

It holds a large (2 lb I think) loaf from my horizontal bread-maker; although if it has risen really high it doesn't fit well with the slicer inside the bread-box.

It is not completely sealed, which I suppose is the way it is meant to be, but I wonder if it dries out faster than in a sealed plastic bag.

A better design would be to have 'handles' so you can pull it open easily. I fashioned handles (e.g. loop a cord through the 2 holes on one half and you have a handle) and that helped.
