Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Progressive International Clearly Fresh Bread KeeperCustomer Review: this is ok Summary: 3 StarsI'm wondering whether the plastic that this is made out of is such a good idea. It wouldn't be an issue, other than the slots you see in the picture are meant to be used as guides to cut the bread. But it is nearly impossible not to cut the heck out of the plastic... Time will only tell... Should have bought a wood design instead.... It would still get cut... But you won't be eating plastic....
Customer Review: Good Friend to Your Bread Machine Summary: 4 StarsDebated on the purchase of this item; thought it might just be something else to take up counter space or end up in the closet, top shelf. Glad we purchased it; great friend to our bread machine. We use it every day.
Customer Review: It's Okay Summary: 3 StarsI only gave this item 3 stars because it seems overly bulky and the slicing guide is weirdly turned on its side instead of how it has to be used to slice bread. Also, it has several large holes in it. (I suppose to allow air in to keep a suction from forming when sliding it open.) The holes seem to allow my homemade bread to dry out rather quickly. It does accommodate a very large (tall) loaf of bread.
Customer Review: great concept, needs improvement Summary: 3 StarsThis product does exactly what it should. It keeps the bread fresh without allowing it to get soggy or dry out. It allows for great, even slicing. However, it really needs at least two handles of some sort. It's awkward to handle otherwise. Also note that in the picture, the internal slicing structure is not correctly placed.
Customer Review: Useful Bread Storage Summary: 5 StarsIt's expandable... my 1.5 and 2.0 pounds of homemade bread fit perfectly. It keeps the bread fresh for weeks. I just had a slice of 9-day-old bread and it was as fresh as day one. The slicing guide works very well. Yes, it's plastic, but it's a guide... the knife fits between the slots. It's easy to clean, and it looks good on the countertop. I looked around, and for $9.99, I am very happy with this product. Well worth the money.
